So much of the subject of prophecy can be controversial, confusing, and even shunned, as the Body of Christ in different streams and denominations struggle with what to believe about this issue and how much. Then the questions come, believing what we believe, what do we do about it in our meetings and services? So let’s look at the scriptures themselves across history to explore the truth about prophecy, its development across the centuries, its reasons for being, and even the results across time as man learns to know his Creator, aided by what the Creator Himself refers to as the Prophets. This is the first in three lessons of the historical development of prophecy.
